This is nice. You could have shot this at a different angle but you would have totally ruined it. The way you have it moves the viewers eye around and keeps it from being boring. Your background color is just close enough to add contrast but keep them separate, nice job. A little bright right there in the center and in other than basic challenge would probably be burnt out but it's ok it does help add some shape to it. Appears to be a clock gear mechanism or something similar. Nice job.

It does kind of remind me of my visit to the great sand dunes except I'm not sweating my butt off and my shoes aren't full of sand lol. Appears to be a pillow or couch cushion of some sort. Great job of using shadows and lights to make the viewer see something extra-ordinary. I do however think your DOF blurred the foreground just a tad to much making it less like an actual landscape but it really isn't that big if a deal, just my opinion.

Wow and I thought my cables were a mess! lol Does just look like a jumbled mess of cables but that doesn't seem totally right for a macro shot as this...hummmm. I wish there were more distince edges, maybe a bit of light on them would help make them stand out...not sure.

looks like a view of school desk from about 1000 feet up. Next guess would be a cheese grater but not sure I've ever seen one painted, extra points if you went through all that trouble. It certainly looks hand painted and not factory so it very well could be a painted cheese grater...ok I'm going with that. I like your angle of it, had you done just straight across it would have been a bit boring and left me looking for the "next" button. you help my interest but not just cause I was trying to figure it out, cause it's interesting to look at. Very nice job.

very interesting. I like the simple colors, the black with the gold and reds really makes it pop and gives it a classy look. The only guess for what it could be would be the edge of a bowl or something..probably way off. Great job.

ok someone should really clean off their toothbrush better. :) Looks like drywall mud on a stir stick. Nice job capturing the unique texture. I like your use of color on one side and shadow on the other, kind of makes you think of being right at the edge of the dark side of the moon. Nice job.

almost looks like a microscopic look at the surface of a non-stick pan. It has an interesting shape to it, I'm not sure if you pulled that off with the type of lens or if that is it's real shape. My first thought was a wood file shot with a fish-eye lens, giving it that unique shape. Hope you post a picture of what it really is post challenge. I love the color and depth of field.

wow what kind of plant is that? The only time I've seen stuff like this is under water. Pretty cool shot. I like how you have only used two colors yet kept it pleasing to the eye. Well done.

aaauuugghhh IT'S OKRA! YUCK! Ok maybe not. I know it is part of a plant and I would guess a leaf but it's shape and apparently roundness throws that out. Maybe a...ok onion is my best guess, doesn't seem right but that's all I got. I love the texture and the way the lines swoop, pulling your eye around the image. The water adds a bit of depth to it as it also magnifys some of the details. Nice even lighting.
