IMG_2535-2-720-logo.jpgby idnicComment: Have to agree with Art on this one, the flames look washed out and also cut out. But, the first thing I noticed were the really funky laces, you have an extra set running between her fingers. |

Driven by Natureby david_1190Comment: I understand why this was called a vignette in basic. I like the image, I think the processing is rock solid. Personally, I don't care for the border, I think it detracts from the image and gives it an almost claustrophbic feel. |

Holly-Pose.jpgby judojoeComment: Great shot.
This brought to mind a funny story. About twenty years ago when I was in high school one of my female friends was complaining to a group of us about how much trouble she was having getting dates. One of my other friends pointed out- 1) Your dad is an ex-marine, and not just a marine but a spec ops, kill and leave no trace kinda Marine. 2) Your dad is like 6'2" 260 and nothing but muscle. 3)Your dad is the chief of Police 4) Your dad is scared to death of your Mom, so God knows what kind of wicked stuff she knows. 5) We all remember last year when you whooped your Moms butt in Karate class (she really did). Therefore, we're all scared to death to take you on a date, one misstep and its Kobyashi Maru (we were all Trekkies) |

Look for the fork in the road!by ColeyComment: I like the shot but...... I don't like seeing the side of the road on the left, without seeing the opposite side as well. Maybe its because I am used to seeing the (almost) cliche' image shot down the middle of the road. I do love the B&W treatment, and the slight grain. |

3 1/2 Games Backby PatsfanComment: Okay, well judging by the votes the voters consisted of 2 die hard Yankee fans, and 1 semi die hard Yankee fan. But no die hard Red Sox fans (thus no tens).
This is a very simple image, but well thought out. The black background works very well and I really like the ????trunk top???? that its resting on.

Don't Walkby SaraRComment: I really like the concept here. I think you may have gotten "slapped around" by the DNMC'rs. To me this meets the challenge, but at the same time I can see why some people voted you down a bit for it, although honestly I don't think it deserved the 2's and 3's it received. Shame the flowers were there, I think if they hadn't been this probably would've scored almost a point higher.
The challenge aside. I really like this image, and I honestly cannot explain why. There is something about the contrast between the grittiness of the fence and the street in the background in contrast to the flowers. |

Lady of the Lakeby timfythetooComment: Tim...what happened???
Its not a bad photo, as always technically very good. I think you got killed by the DNMC'rs here. I think if you'd had a less blue sky-isn't that something all photographers dream of, a bland grey dull sky :), to go with the bright swimsuit it would've scored pretty well. |

Kiss Meby zackdezonComment: I think this would've scored much higher with both the face and the rose in sharp focus. The idea behind this is very good. Maybe some fill light into the face to help "blow out" the whiteness. |

Twistedby TDCollinsComment: You needed just a hint faster shutter speed to really freeze this one, theres just enough motion blur in the head and eyes to throw this shot off. I spent two hours shooting flamingos at the Denver Zoo one day, my wife thought I was nuts. I still didn't get one as good as this. |
