Looking away.JPGby jhop133Comment: First: Can you set your camera NOT to put the date on the picture??? If you enter this is any challenge it will immediately be disqualified because no text is allowed.
Second: This is WAY over processed for what the DPC voters like. The emphasis at DPC is on photography and not digital art. Post processing is a valuable tool which requires a delicate balance. You will get dinged for too little post processing or for too much, as here.
The kid, of course, is adorable. Her pose is nice with one hand up, one down. In this case, putting her right in the center of the photo works well, but often an off center subject has more visual appeal. Cropping off the coffe table, the diaper, and the date would help. |

enhanced 6.jpgby renefunkComment: This is lovely - i think the lens flares are somewhat overdone. Look at the two on the ship: they look like eyes or headlights. It makes the giant ship look silly or cartoon like. Also the flares overpower the poor moon (that is the moon, right?). I like the star effects, just think they should be more subtle. |

Zen Garden Pineby Dr.ConfuserComment: EEk - is it my monitor? This is the second where the saturation on the green is just too much. I like it on the tree - so maybe destat the bush on the left? |
