Old CD to New iPOD

Your CD is out of focus. Use a smaller aperture (or was it bigger?... check the tutorials if you want to be sure, I'm not anymore ;) to get a wider DOF. Flipping the image would have been good, to make the iPod display readable. 4.

I guess your title is to suggest that your picture meets the challenge even though it's not obvious. Well, the only thing I can imagine for this shot to fit the challenge is that in the center of the plant new leaves start to grow. Is that what you're referring to? Nice bokeh. A bit grainy, some NeatImage would have been good. 5.

Out of focus. Too small. Why did you take the picture from right above. You should have lowered your cam to the flower's level. 3.

Too rigid. How about a big pile of books? That would bring in more dynamic. You have too many vertical lines. Also, chose another light source next time to avoid the gkares on the books' backs. 4.

Intersting perspective. Looks cool, I especially like the noise. The only distracting thing is the text in the background. 8.

Intersting idea, but the background should be red all the way down. There's some kind of scratch between the cams in the background. Or I'm just seeing things (time to go to bed ;)
Perhaps a less direct perspective would have been nice. Like, taking a shot over the shoulder of someone photographing the old camera...if you understand what I mean, it's hard to explain what I have in mind. 5.

So, which one's new and which one's old? I know you're referring to the three men as old, but the difference isn't clear enough. Also, you cropped off the dog's right foot. Your lighting is good thouh. The shadows are just right. 4.

Reminds me of my outtake. Nice shot, great lighting (dawn?) in the upper half, a bit too flat in the lower half. Nice colours and tones. 7.

The negative space doesn't add to the imaege IMO. Rings and diamonds are hard to photograph. They need more detail and nicer reflections. 5.
