Reflection, Refraction, and Reformation by markwileyComment: Master of street photography? :-) Check out that side look shot (I'm not taking your picture kid - don't mind me outside your window). :-P
In the FWIW category. I like this photo, but was surprised to see how it finished. I was so off base in what I thought was expected for this challenge. Really thought we'd see much more photography like this shot by Penny ( PennyStreet).
More abstract imagery featuring lines and shapes simplistically. |

intersectionsby PennyStreetComment: I was expecting more of something like this image for the recent 'Shapes in Black & White' challenge. :-) |

Reeds and Water - ICM by namComment: Congrats! I'm going to have to remember this combo (reeds and water), I like the colors. :-) |

nightlightsby bassboneComment: Huh. This was my top pick. Figured for sure to see it in the Top 5. Got close. Not quite as abstract as other entries, but something about the clean lines and control of movement that made this work for me. |

Valley of the Windsby bassboneComment: The stark contrast in color between the sky and the reflection are a bit off-putting, at least to me. Makes it feel overworked and manipulated. Maybe the color is actually that way with the naked eye at the time of capture? Don't know. The other bit that showed some PP residue is the canyon wall (upper right) and the blue sky. Looks like a strong selection line. Makes the blue sky, I don't know, feel more contrived? Wonder how this would have come across in B&W? |

Tranquilityby GolferDDSComment: I get what you were going for. I think, outside of the PP, a tighter presentation would have been more pleasing. The left area of the image, while serving as effective negative space, could have been trimmed. Take a bit off the left and the bottom; bringing the bird tighter on the lower ROT grid, but still have enough breathing room to not feel cramped.
Just some random thoughts. :-) |

Just a Hint of Fall by Ja-9Comment: Beautiful location and, as usual, a well thought out composition. One of my top picks. |

catnapby rozComment: Ahhh ... I enjoyed your entry. One of my top picks (gave it an 8). Surprised to not see it crack the Top 10. |
