You're the most versatile bloke with a camera I 'know'. Is there any kind of photography you suck at? I hope so.
This is so classical in its composition that you give yourself away: you can't take an offhand snapshot with a few flaws in it.
But probably you can, as long as the flaws are flawless flaws.
Thank you.

That's nice. Could use a crow I guess, but that would pre-suppose a tree, and a tree would be a jarring note in this harmonious visible scale. So you did well to leave the crow to one side.

Thank you.

You've gone all Zen on me. And it's pretty pure visually as well as aurally.

Thank you.

Every picture is better for the inclusion of a crow or raven. Even S. Dali apparently regretted in his later years not having inserted more Corvidae into his work. This one may not be an actual crow of course, but the gesture is appreciated nonetheless.

Thank you.

Four players, arrayed front to back of the stage, one nearly in the orchestra pit. So great sense of depth. Also beautiful light and exposure. I like looking at this.
Thank you.

Jeb, I can't stand pictures of cats, no matter how splendid the cat may be. So I will pretend it's a football. Love the tones, looks a bit over-inflated. Though that might be me.

Thank you.

Good lessons for all we 'squares' in this, among which is compose carefully, thoughtfully, properly. And then the picture goes "yes!" and you both sigh with delight.

Thank you

Yes, this is indeed a 'perfect' square composition, mathematically, aesthetically (they might be the same thing in this case). Look at it. Look again. Again. Longer. Linger. It gets stronger rather than weaker with repeated consideration. It's like Keats' Grecian Urn; consider just the first two and the last two of Keats' lines:

Thou still unravish'd bride of quietness,
Thou foster-child of silence and slow time
...

Beauty is truth, truth beauty, ΓΆ€“ that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.

I say it's just a bit like Keats, in order to not embarrass you. But it is what he was on about: the timeless durability of classical beauty. And you too.

Thank you.

Edit for typo. Not mine, it was Keats. Wonder why nobody noticed it before this?

A really purposeful square, where the picture has different properties depending on how far from it the viewer stands. That's transformative! Thank you.

Lilac-hued memories. Such a beautiful sentiment: the figurative fondly masquerading as the literal. It's beautiful. So is the photograph. Thank you.
