Detourby shankswareComment: Nice Idea here.
I feel a bit more light in the candlestick would make this even better, and I find though that the bending of the light should be carried through the candlestick to make it just that bit more believable
Good luck with your carefully done shot |

Assimilationby photogeneComment: I like the refraction, but would feel that a sharper image of the glass would bring just that bit more zap to a very good image
Hope you do well with this picture |

Front & Centerby rob_franklinComment: Beautiful image of real distortions from refractions here
Very nicely done.
I would feel tempted to go for this in colour, and do a bit of enhancing with contrasts to perfect the image, but really really nice picture
Best of luck with your entry |

Refraction, eh?by DigiFotoBuddyComment: Delightful image!
Love the pinks, the exaggerated images of fork and spoon here. I cannot imagine that this is really what the camera saw, at least not in one image, anyway, but the spirit of refraction is tremendous!!
The wonderful graphic greys, the shading, the subtle contrast and shading is lovely to behold. I would love to see this in it's original size, but as it is, it is a read treat to see
Best of luck with your inventive entry! |

Holographyby cwalmyeComment: Unusual image, this!
I imagine the original scene would show a 3D image in the plate we are looking at, though it is not so obvious in a photograph
I hope you do well with this, but suspect it is not so clear to many how it demonstrates refraction
I would love to see a movie of the plate being moved around in the light
Good luck with your entry |

Spring Refractionby MichaelsComment: Definately a very good image.
The idea is clear, the Colour crisp and rich, the pastel shades just so light, and the japanese influence in the out of focus pink patches in the backgound. I like the echo of the yellow and brown tones in the glass, found in picture to the right. Very decorative picture. I would like this framed in my hallway, perhaps
Good luck with your image |

table of enlightenmentby fencekickerComment: Subtle colours, I suspect a bit of Polarising here, but I may be wrong
Nice restrained contrast, and all the facets are displayed. I think I would be tempted to enhance the colour in this shot, and boost contrast in the two colour panels to push the idea a bit more
Good luck with your very nice image |

80° Fby jemisonComment: Very nice image!
Lighting careful, restrained, Ideal contrast, and the separation and reversal caused by the refraction shows very well. I like the silvering of the top glas float a lot, and the subtle shades in the bamboo mat hanging on the wall.
The image is well balanced, and artistic too
Hope you do well with this image |

Trick of the Lightby joebokComment: I am not sure what I am looking at here!
The pencil seems to have changed into some sort of metal item in the bowl, but I am uncertain if it is a knife or fork handle, or what. I think I would like it more if I was more sure of what it reminds me of
A nice image though, and I wish you luck |
