In progressby mariucaComment: That's dizzying! The danged thing is downright Escheresque :-) Those roofs along the bottom totally make the composition! |

contemplateby tnunComment: Now, THAT'S different :-) I think I get what you're going for, but I'm finding myself uncomfortable with the way the OOF foreground is handled. I think a lot of that has to do with the odd fact that the further edge of the trivet under the squash is actually sharp. It's disorienting. Regardless, a brave entry. |

This is the wayby Yo_SpiffComment: It's a picture of a shed and an abandoned sign. It's not "about" the wall in any tangible way. Great find, though :-) |

Glazedby PaulComment: This is way more about the windows, the arches, the banisters than it is the wall. It's a striking place, though... |

Pipes in Wallby DistantColoursComment: In many ways, I find this an appealing composition, and I wish I liked it more than I do. My primary issue is that the processing doesn't begin to do the image justice. It feels washed out, lackluster, sort of flat and drab. Additionally, there's an aspect of the image's composition that bothers me. Where the boards meet the bricks is pretty much exactly halfway down, it's a "centered horizon" if you will, and it's just static. That powerful bisecting horizontal is even robbing the pipes of the compositional strength they ought to have. THere's a lot of ways arou8nd that, but it all depends on what you've chosen to crop out.
This, of course, is just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth. If you think I'm full of beans, that's fine with me :-) |

Canvas Double Agentby glad2badadComment: FINE image, mysterious-layered dimensionality on a 2D surface. The ambiguity of the dark leaf shadows: are they from a Ficus in the corner or shadowing from outside. The brave execution incorporating the electric socket, "grounding" the image in an unexpected way. Excellent! |
