Working with candles is a challenge in itself. The flame throws the auto exposure into chaos. But I like the idea and the slight flare adds to the atmosphere. If only there was a way to prevent the light from being so bright. Hmmm....

I think I understand your "occupation", however I think this photo could have been done differently (i'm trying to avoid using the word 'better'). I like the framing but the white balance seems off and the flash casts such a harsh shadow, albeit a small shadow. Looks like you caught the kid on the right in mid-blink. Would have preferred to see the eyes open. The red shampoo on the forhead is distracting as is the object on the tub ledge on the left there. Creative way to illustrate motherhood.
