Emptinessby samanwarComment: Is it HDR, sharpening or a transporter beam dematerializing the bench? Nice job getting an interesting perspective with strong lines, but the processing is a bit overdone. |

A Place of Restby Nocturnal_DelusionComment: The sky, water and snow play nicely off of each other here. Nice tonality, though I might consider burning in a bit under the bench. Looks like a peaceful spot. |

Nobody is Waitingby pixelpigComment: Yikes! I just don't see how the negative colors add anything here. Interesting patterns though. |

The romanticism survives the wintersby ELLIPSComment: Nice concept. I like the how the tall trees contrast with the length(depth?) of the scene. I'd still like to see a little more to the right side (to accentuate the length/depth). |

Art Appreciation by stevieianComment: Very nicely composed, but does the encroaching darkness mean something? The sepia tone along with the shadows seeping in from above (an unnatural direction) and the extremely bold shapes and lines create an imposing, almost threatening, mood. A brighter (emotionally) scene may help to convey the discovery associated with art appreciation, but instead I question whether she is lost or otherwise in danger. Very dramatic, but I can't determine your intention. I guess it may be the title that's throwing me. |

Framing the Sunriseby Shutter-For-HireComment: Good job getting down and dirty with this angle! The saturation may be just the tiniest bit too much, but the colors are beautiful. Strong lines and great perspective. |

The Bench Where Time Stood Stillby hotpastaComment: Nice! The tilted perspective adds drama to an already frantic scene. I'm not sure about leaving the color around the top, it almost seems like a distraction. Beautiful and well done, but still distracting. I would have just relied on the strong lines and motion blur in this photo to draw attention to the subject. PC lens or blured in post? Nice effect either way. |

benchmarksby posthumousComment: There's a simple elegance in this. It almost appears 2D, but the curled metal part at the top brings in a bit of depth. |

Simple Restby robinssongComment: ...but not so simple processsing! I'm guessing HDR. There are some nice bits. I like the texture and tonality around the fence line, but the overall scene is just too busy mor my tastes. |

Autumn Benchby LydiaComment: There is a point where a tilted perspective adds action to an otherwise static perspective. Then there is a point where the impression is more one of having several dozen helium baloons tied to ones ankle. I'm afraid this is closer to the latter. |
