The light's Smoke...by kristensen20Comment: I always love smoke pics... they're so interesting and abstract... ths is beautiful with the lines and play... this is lovely :) I do wish that orange spot wasn't in the pic (perhaps cropping? - i think i like it better when I hide it with my hand while lookign at the pic but thats a personal thing i guess?) but at the same time....I can understand leaving in in too... it looks liek an angry eye of a smoke face making an O with its mouth.... (hehe yeah I like those visual tests can you tell?) - well to cut myself short this is great ;) I like it a lot!!! :-D (*think i like it?*) |

bizcardback.gifby cynthiannComment: try bordering the outside edges with what you want to write in the bgrnd and seperating it with a thick * kind of symbol (a dot in the center kidna like a . but higher and not as high as a ' -- make the text small so that it fits the border but so ppl can read it if they are interested enoguh to... ;) :-D then you don't loose the txt entirely into a watermark...

Sunset Girlby posthumousComment: this is a beautiful photo - but I would reccomend tweeking the levels a little to get the contrast to pop more; or even just slight curves in post-processing (saving for DPC sometimes lowers the quality of an original pic so i'm sure the original is amazing) I think a pic showing her arms a little more would be nice- as it is she looks like she doesn't have any; tho I can see that they're behind her back because I see the edge of one... - kids are a tough subject they never want to do what you ask them to and usually its candid-moments -as a mom I understand that! :) :-) Kudos and compliments on a lovely subject!! look forward to seeing more in your portfolio! |

the new American Gothicby dahkotaComment: this is an interesting capture; I wish the top of the church wasn't as 'burned in' as it appears; but i'm certian there is a reason for it and i'm just missing it right now (i'll look again b4 voting is done tho I doubt I'll edit my comment since i'm lazy like that sometimes) :-) I love the curved angle of the horizon and the red-doors witht eh path leeding your eye right into the center... its a very nice composition; the way the right side is burned in is really nice; and i think if the top was evenly burned in the same way... it would rate a 10 from me... right now i'm wavering between a 7 and 8- so i'm going to stare for a while longer while I decide :-) and re-visit b4 voting is done - but I like the stormy feel to this as well as the textures related in the grass, trees and clouds... :-) |

stillnessby LevTComment: AMAZING high-contrast study= it looks painted; and I love it! great job!! I look forward to seeing your notes on this! :-) interesting profile, nice choice of foreground/background; the reflections create interesting arrows and the profile does the same... it just =fits together= so nicely! Kudos and compliments on a great shot! :-) |

Opusby BrinComment: WOW the rock looks like its snarling (or perhaps thats just me seeing things) this is breath-taking- the sky pulls me right into the center of the imagewhere that rock draws my gaze into the reflections and I keep looking around and seeing other shapes and things... very cool! :-) |
