Black Candlesby MinstrelComment: It's missing a BIG old antique book just poking in from the bottom right corner. |

Rothesayby artphotoComment: I want to see something on the water. (boat, splash of a rock thrown in, just something to break up the flatness) |

A Light at the Endby JPRComment: I like the bottom left to top right line of view but somehow it's not doing it for me. |

Darkness of his Soulby banditComment: Maybe a touch more light on the face (and only the face) but with the face further back in the hood. Perhaps from a small birthday candle without seeing the candle in shot. |

When eyes start failingby mthrgse49Comment: Would have liked to have seen this a bit brighter (I know darkness competition) and then as well as shooting through the cutout also have had some type of patterned glass to make the scene more mosaic like. |

Childhood Chiaroscuroby markmulkerinComment: Where is the other half of the picture? This one's missing the mark.
Has the lantern got a moving inside to it? I'd like to see the blurry bits in the lantern a little bit sharper (not totally) and also the face of the person being lit by the lantern. Then the composition needs work. Cut it in half, throw away the left side and I think that fixes the composition. |

Night Falls by NovaTigerComment: I'm having trouble deciding what to focus on here. The reed, or whatever it is, on the front left really bugs me but even without that where am I meant to be looking? |

Midnightby glodaComment: I like the red swirl and the big eyes looking up at something that is obviously about to do something nasty. Has a real boggy man feel about it. The only things that throws me a bit is the noticable light colour difference on the hands red on left and green the right (our point of view). Also the hair on the right over whatever that light brown is. It would have been nicer had this been dark like the other areas. |
