yellow.JPGby wavelengthComment: I really like this shot. It gives me a feel of being right in among the wild flowers. I'd love to see just a bit more blue in the sky to really bring out the contrast between the yellow and blue. You've got some nice detail in the foreground. The tall weeds lead you right up to the feathered sky. Nice work. |

two_barns.JPGby wavelengthComment: You've captured a wonderful mood here with the dark earth and the billowing clouds. There is a starkness that is pronounced. Technically, your tones are a bit flat - I'm left wanting to know what else is in those cloud and mountains. Dropping you horizon line to the 1/3 would strengthen the composition (but loose the interesting greenery in the front.)
I love the mood, but I left hungry for more. A bit more contrast and light burning/dodging to bring out more detail. Just don't overwelm those barns. IMHO |

Warped Reflectionby mkalandrosComment: While the overall idea is good and creative, the shot was very average. You want a very shiny knife so that the reflection can take center stage. A blurred background would have also empasized the "stalker" and kept our interest on the main subject. Your bold colors of the bathroom tiled worked against you as it demanded attention and created a strong line that took you out of the picture. this is definately a shot worth reworking as the idea is very strong. |

Darker side of the apple!by MakkaComment: You've done well on this experiment. You've managed to create a mood around this apple. The darkness works well. I see detail in all sides of the apple, and the highlight is not blown out. This is a technically fine piece. |

Prowlby jaxedComment: You have some wonderful images in your portfolio. You've also made a strong mark for yourself is your few challenges. This image is no exception. You've managed to capture Miss Betty's personality in this close up. The tones, colors, contrast and composition are strong. The DOF really works and the pose is awesome. I look forward to seeing more of your work. |

confederate jasmineby ArpeggioAngelComment: You've got some beautiful pieces in your portfolio. This floral is no exception. Your strong contrast between the dark foliage and the snowy white jasmine really makes this image pop. |

My Youngest Daughter Amyby MakkaComment: This is a nice candid. You've caught a wonderful expression and moment in time. The composition is good with strong interest focused on your subjects. The lighting is a bit problematic, with filtered sun creating uneven patches. You were able to keep most of that away from your daughter's face. This is an image to cherish. |

native influenceby clictacameraComment: This is an interesting carving and very different from the other entries. It is very effective. The tire in the back left corner is distracting, as well as the canvas and pumpkin at the top right. Even so, it's nicely done. 8 |

Jack-O-Lantern Familyby xylkeComment: I really like this shot. Your pumpkins have interesting expressions with a great glow AND expterior detail. The setup in the doorway (?) works very well with the texture adding interest, yet not taking away from the subject. Very well done. 8 |
