Funny Bone

Funny Bone

7 - Like this and thanks for making it easier to 'rule'. Criticism; background left is slightly distracting/detracting. Would like to see a little more contrast on the 'funny bone', little more detail, such as you have in the gate/iron/fence. Technically, while no 'expert' in the rule(s), the placement is pretty good in my opinion, especially since you have 'used', the 'three columns' with the bars.

7 - Great shot. Criticism; in this particular instance, I think a 'selective desaturation' (or attempt) may have been better, the colors, especially the green, while good and vivid, 'clash' somewhat in my opinion. The detail on the 'little gem' is good, 'it' just contends with the vivid green foliage too much, in my opinion. Technically, while no 'expert' in the rules, I think you have placed the "point of interest" fairly well, but the plumage 'pops out' more than the face (not only re focus), so I wonder if it may have worked better with a tighter crop top/bottom, to 'use the left column of thirds' here, not sure.

7 - I like this, but think it has more potential. Criticism; don't know what to suggest, just 'something' to bring out the drama more, somehow. I like the angle/perspective, especially including those two 'lines' at the top, but perhaps an even sharper angle, not sure. More definition (difficult I know) in the 'fighter/rider' and the bull. I like the shadows. Technically, while no 'expert' in the rule(s), the placement of the 'couple' is fairly spot on, I just wonder if more space 'somewhere' may have given this more 'drama', while retaining the 'rules', not sure.

7 - Nice colors. Criticism; would like to see just a little more definition on the edges. The lighting(?) is seemingly not picking up the potential of both the color and texture of these flowers, perhaps even more difficult against this black background. Technically, while no 'expert' in the rule(s), looks like you have applied them fairly strictly using two intersections. I would just like to have seen either more focus on the 'foremost' points, or possibly even a 'zoom out', still utilizing the 'rules' somehow. I think there is potential here for a great shot. edit:typo

7 - Nice portrait. Nice toning/colors. Criticism; difficult, maybe a touch more 'sharpness' in her eyes, not sure. Technically, while no 'expert', I would like to have seen an even stricter application of the rule(s) here, not only for the Challenge but I think it would still make a good shot with more space to the left, and her hair not so 'cut off'. The frame, not sure.

7 - Nice shot, nice sepia(?). Criticism; horizon needs a nudge up on the right. Perhaps an even sharper angle/perspective here, gaining a little more detail / drama from the rocks, not sure. Even to 'make use' of those poles/'leading lines' maybe, who knows. Technically, while no 'expert', looks like good use of at least two, even three rules here to me.

7 - Nice colors. Criticism; not much, maybe a little more clarity, even just in the sea. Technically, while no 'expert', seems you are pretty spot on with at least two rules. Not sure on the frame, nice at the top, but the bottom detracts a little in my opinion against the blue.

7 - Nice. Criticism; difficult I know given the color of the "point(s) of interest", but just a touch brighter. Like that water drop on the right duck, maybe even a closer crop and that/the beak as the "poi", who knows. Tail either softer or in focus maybe, not sure. Technically, while no 'expert', seems to me you have used at least three rules here, top third, right third and top right intersection, so well done. edit:typos

7 - Nice. Good vivid color, nice soft background. Criticism; the stamens(?) at the 'fore' in sharp focus like the others, or else, and especially for the Challenge, a more 'zoomed in' look and crop, with those stamens in focus as the "point of interest".

7 - Nice. Criticism; difficult re the Challenge, but I would like to see the "point of interest" a little more prominent. Technically, while no 'expert, seems pretty spot on to me and the use of the 'fore blur', I like here. Colors are nice, and simple, just like to see the yellow of that flower, just a fraction bolder. Different.
