Day Twenty-Nineby TuckersmomComment: Excellent capture! The tonal range and subtlies are amazing - total mastery of the light, here. Just wow! |

Iridium Flareby JHComment: I had no idea that you could even SEE this sort of thing! Wow, very cool, and an excellent shot of it. Might have liked a more interesting foreground subject to ground it. I'll have to try this. |

St. Thomas - Shipwreck 1by glad2badadComment: Lovely shot, and great lighting. Part of what really makes it work, I think, is all the sailboats lined up and moored behind the wrecked one - gives a good dichotomy, even some irony, while highlighting the desolate mood. Very well done! |

Yankee Smokeby glad2badadComment: Great stacking and pattern repetition here. I like the close angle, and although it might have been good to see more of their faces, the angle here allows for some personal contact, but also sort of the fleeting contact one would expect from a battle. |

Wet Stepsby glad2badadComment: Another nice closeup of the falls, and with good use of the dappled lighting. |

Where's Brent? :-)by glad2badadComment: haha, I saw this and had to stop and look for myself! Took me a minute, but I found myself - for a moment there, I thought I might be permenently lost! |

Mysticby glad2badadComment: This is neat, a good way to break away from the usual waterfall shot and capture something a little different. I think I would have liked it a bit better if the first set of logs were in focus, since the second set it. Excellent framing of the water using natural elements. |

Winter Approachesby glad2badadComment: I really like this as an example of an excellent landscape that doesn't need to be blindingly vibrant. The muted tones and color have an incredible range and blend smoothly, giving it an extra punch of emotion - soft and quiet. I'm a big fan of the composition, as well, although I might have added just a hair more grass at the bottom, so the verticle posts didn't seem quite so crowded against the bottom edge. |
