American Idolby punk_kaosComment: Two things are working against you here. A cluttered background with dark regions obscures your subject and competes for the viewers eye. Also, the pose of your model hides the stronger outlines of her face, making for a less distinct shape and much less impact as an image. |

Cleaning Upby macrothingComment: I like the background color and the subject, I just wish you could have gotten more separation between the fly and whatever its sitting on -- it would have been nice to see the legs and lower body. The curve of the support surface on the left is distracting from the overall image, IMO. |

shadowby diannaraeComment: There is a lot of potential in this shot, but the model's position is awkward. She isn't positioned so that any part of her silhouette is properly focused against the sheet. The hands touching the sheet could have provided the point of interest, but they seem a bit off as well. The one hand is curved into a "claw", yet nothing else in the model's position really sells the emotional state that would lead to the hand position (ectasy, pain, fear, anger, etc.) |

The Inspectionby rasdubComment: Nothing appears to be sharp in this picture. The composition doesn't really draw me in. Your figure is centered, so maybe trying to align him/her more according to the rule of thirds would help. For instance, I don't think the window on the right is adding anything to the picture. A tighter crop on that side (combined with a better focus) might improve things a bit. |

Dying Roseby micaComment: The subject matter has the potential for a dramatic picture. The uneven lighting of your background is hurting you becuase your subject falls into one of the shadowed regions and is lost. |

Dark Saviorby essieComment: Like the set up, although the glow from the fire seems to be bleeding around your figure on the right side a bit giving them a 2-D look (or spoiling an illusion of a 3D figure). |

I'm Starvingby eggfoxComment: I'm going to be honest -- the subject matter doesn't do anything for me. I'm guessing its some type of toy eating an Oreo cookie? That being said, it looks in focus, the lighting is appropriate for the shot (though some might not like the fall off in the corners). Even the cookie crumbs work well for the composition, IMHO. Might be improved with just a touch of light on the cookie to make it more recognizable. |

Looking through the window: I wish I was real..by ho0jokerComment: The background and visible details of the mouse really distract from the image. It gives it a busy look. A simpler background with more of the horse visible (is it a "broomstick" horse or a rocker?) would really nail the look I think you're going for. |

A Knight-Errantby 3eyedcrowComment: The figures are so 2-dimensional looking that I can't really connect with this photo. The focus also seems a shade soft. |

Freedomby parrotheadComment: A more expressive pose on your model would really nail the theme your looking for. I like the overall composition -- particularly the rock and the angle you've chosen. |
