I'll start out on subject matter. Macro yes...puzzle not so much. At just a glance I can tell that this is a flower. Granted. I couldn't identify what flower. I am sure that hurt your score some. As far as the shot itself, it's not bad. I think this works well as a b&w. I think that the crop should have been brought in slightly on the right. In the top right corner there is something that has kindof peeked into the frame that is a bit distracting. Otherwise good shot though

Nice capture. I like the multiple colors that you were able to capture here. I also like the texture of the rock. The only thing I see that I would have wanted different is the dark area towards the bottom of the shot. I know it is just how the light was hitting it but it almost begs to have some color in that area. Happy shooting

I like it. It has that element of fear in it. The dog has that vicious I'm gonna eat you look. The grass in the foreground also adds to the shot. 5.2 not a bad score for this. Happy shooting

Very strong skyline shot. I am assuming that this is Montreal. I like the reflections on the water. That is a very nice detail. The light on the top of the building to the right is a little bit glaring but that is not a big issue with me. Otherwise I think you did an excellent job.

You did quite nicely on this shot. To be quite honest it is very difficult for me to give an honest critique of an abstract image. I've never been into abstracts too much. However this does look like a wall hanger. It's got nice flowing color. It also has some depth to it that I like. I hope this critique helped you out.

Now this is a true abstract. It meets the challenge perfectly. To be quite honest I don't know why it scored so low. The only thing that I can see that could have been done differently would be a little more of the green in the upper left hand corner. For me that area is a little light. Good job... Happy shooting

This is a very different type of shot. To tell you the truth I really don't know what to think of it. It's creepy / spooky. I really don't think that it fits into the graveyard challenge and unfortunately your score shows it. However, I do see where you were going with this. "white ghosts rising up" All I can say is it was entertaining to see this. Happy shooting.

"pushing up daisies" That was a perfectly chosen title. I do like the single headstone. Very good subject for this challenge. The flowers are very nice. You were able to capture all the colors accurately. Also the lighting seems to be very nice. Again job well done. Happy shooting.

Nice shot. Fits in well with this challenge. The flowers have nice "pastel" colors. Pretty good for being color blind. I think you should have done better in the challenge. The only thing I see that may have hurt your score is there is part of the bottom flower that seems to be out of focus / blurry. Anyway overall nice shot. Happy shooting

This shot to me does not scream pastels. That being said, I am sure that your score suffered from the DNMC voters. Now on to the pic. The actual pic itself I think is good. I like what you did with the lighting. I am going to have to give that a try sometime. For this shot I like that the vase is centered and that the background is pitch black. I really do like this shot....just not in this challenge. Happy shooting.
