I like this photo and scored it pretty high. I prefer the color in this one more than in your outtake.

This probably got bumped down because it wasn't of a perfect green lawn, but the creative take on it is what made me like it. I wonder if some people didn't get it? The main subject may not be the grass, but the main subjects comment on the grass.

The composition and sun burst are very nice, but the picture seems to have been overly compressed so that the colors don't transition from one shade to another very smoothly ("Save for Web" may be the culprit here?).

This should have placed much higher. The composition is strange with so much room above his head (which is why I assume this placed so low), but I don't think it would have worked nearly as well had you used traditional composition. I like this shot a lot.
