Five a Dayby mpetersComment: A nice food shot, although it would have been more interesting IMO if the top and bottom had not been cut off (maybe a vertical orientation?). The black background and the reflections are very nice, with the vivid colors. Not so much shapes that grab the viewer's attention, though. |

Reflected Shapesby gingerninjaComment: With so much competing for the eye's attention, the reflected shapes unfortunately don't stand out very much. A far tighter crop might have been better for this particular challenge, although overall this is a very pleasing and visually interesting shot. 7 |

merry christmasby ayanna3000Comment: Oh dear. It's a shame it's not in focus and the image looks a little pixelated. People will be really hard on you about that and some of them can be pretty mean (trust me I KNOW on this. I don't remember if I'm anonymous or not. If I'm not, check out the 'mantis' image in my profile. oh the beating I took.). Don't let them make you give up. Keep trying. This shot had a lot of potential.
And merry (late) Christmas to you too. :) |

Circlesby moviemanComment: Actually at this angle they're ellipses or ovals. ;) I like the repetition with the paint bottles, but the level of extraneous information in the shot, as well as the fact that the rims of the bowls are interrupted, makes it hard for them to stand out. Also, and this is just my personal preference, I almost never like tilted images. You'll find tastes varying on that pretty wildly. :)
If I were in this room taking a photograph to depict shapes I'd group the bottles together and shoot them from the top, with the repetition in the lids/shapes of the bottles, and then the variety in the colors. But that's me. This is your picture, and you did a fine job taking it if it's the way you like it. |

Oooo Shiny Shapes!!by GivemeashotComment: My eye doesn't know where to rest here; there's no focal point at all. Maybe one sequin of a different color (if you had one) somewhere, with the focus on that, would have helped? Clever idea. I like the red/pink. |

peaks & valleysby basicentryComment: OK, I'm going to have to come back to this one after the challenge and find out what it is. :) Really a very visually interesting subject, well-lit with nice focus. I think I personally might have liked it even better if you'd cropped it below the blue corners. 7 |
