You have grabbed some SERIOUS texture & contrast here Jen! Funny, as we just went for a walk tonight with our girls, and I was looking @ leaves with water drops too - and yours looks exactly like the sassafras leaves we saw!!! That is really really eerie girl!

Good texture, and I love how this feels 'deep'. Not sure how to explain, but it seems as though the wall goes waaaaaaaaay down, like a well or something. Very deep, on several levels. ;)

i rather like the composition, even if centered, and appreciate what you were going for. As for the technicals, I'm guessing this is a tight crop from a larger image? That might explain the graininess, and it somehow 'fits'...

Your stories and imagery are always so meaningful Sandy, even when sad, and today is no different. Yet this STILL has a sense of beauty and happiness to it. We can see many things of joy here, such as your love of family, your sister's pleasure in helping others, and even the story within (of the autistic child enjoying a ride).

I know that such events in life hurt, but be proud of the fact that you (and your entire family, it seems!) are constantly LIVING in ways that are inspirational and happy and joyful. As always, thank you for sharing YOUR slices of life Sandy.
