Prepared for Glory!by mbrutus2009Comment: I think the idea is great, if you could get some light onto the sword itself perhaps thru a snoot to light the blade you would have something great here. |

Birth of a Skyscraperby tvsometimeComment: I like that the cloud looks like a big thunderbolt hitting the top of the building, its really cool looking that way. Nice contrasts between the building and the sky. |

Homeward Bound by MacDonaldComment: The technicals on this photo are really nice. The DOF is spot on deep enough to keep the sharp detail in the wing but fast enough to stop him in flight without blur.
Your sharpness is great, I like that the wings are very detailed, and that you can make out the eye nicely. The composition is really nice as well. I like that the bird falls upon the intersecting points of the upper horizontal and the left vertical, makes it more powerful.
I also love that you left the hills in the background and did not try to get a blue sky behind as it gives you a sense of where he may be flying to perhaps.
The only thing that I might suggest, or try to do differently would to be closer to the heron, perhaps being able to see the eye more could give a stronger feel to the shot perhaps.
