Enjoy the silenceby SistoComment: This really is more a dark photograph then a silhouette. Yes the tree and to some extent the building is in silhouette but a true silhouette should be against a brighter background and yours is just marginally brighter. |

The Dangers of Reading at Nightby vawendyComment: There is no real clear subject in the photograph, is it the person in the bed or the guy with the knife? For me, the silhouette should be the subject and it should be clear that it is the subject. There is also a little to much light and visible detail in the knife guy to be a true silhouette. |

diversionby tvsometimeComment: Great black and white silhouette, just wish that arrow was not there. It is a bit distracting and draws my eye to the bright lights and forces my eye to the right where there is just black with nothing to lead me into the photograph. |

Follow Meby gipper11Comment: I like that you cropped tight on the right side where most would have done the opposite, it really goes well with the subject and the silhouette theme. |

Wine Someday?by sfaliceComment: The yellow background is off putting, really distract from the subject to me. Would have preferred the bottom part cropped out as the round objects on the bottom are distracting. |

i am importantby jmritzComment: Not really understanding this photograph, there is no clearly defined subject. I am guessing it is the finger and it is a silhouette as are the bushes/tree to the left. I have to force my eye to see the finger, it acts as a guide to the trees for me, which are blurry......... |

Empty Circlesby gipper11Comment: I did not vote in this challenge but would have given your image a 3. This is based on several things. First, all photographs I vote on start at a 5 if they meet the theme and go up/down from there based on several things. For your photo I would have deducted 1 because I personally detest shots like this, in the studio will a solid white background and nothing but the subject.......to me they are just boring unless extremely well done and this is not. You would have lost another point because you did not get one shade of white for the background, it kind of goes from gray to white which I find more distracting then if it was one even color all the way thru. |
