Background and surface is not smooth but props for it being free of dust or dirt (even if done in post). But for a product shot it is way to busy with no central theme as to what is the product.

I really like the concept of the shot. Not sure about the top of the cufflinks and the background, think I would have preferred to see separation between them and the background. Also think you could have given it a 3D effect if the box was strait and moved forward in the frame with the links sitting back some and reflecting on the surface, and if the surface was smooth and not the cloth you are using.
