Beautiful colors and well composed, not in the spirit of the challenge, though; IMO the subject is a woman with umbrella walking through lavender fields - there's nothing (semi-)transparent between you and the subject (except for the lens of course)

Maybe being pedantic here, but, as beautiful this shot is, it doesn't meet the challenge IMO; I'd rather say the subject is a woman covered with fabric - as opposed to a woman seen through fabric or behind fabric. Other than that you found a great color scheme, the bg works excellently. Only nitpick would be that the right part of the fabric looks like it's held by a string and gives the impression of the woman having something on her back or of a second person sitting behind her - slightly awkward. That said, I can only give you my highest vote for a DNMC image.
