Looks like a candid except thhe colors are so perfectly matched, and the concept so great, that I think that it can't be! I'm upping my score for this really great presentation of a candid or candid-like image. PM me after the challenge ends if this doesn't make sense and you want clarfication :-)

Okay, very rarely do I vote on challenges and come across a shot that makes me laugh out loud. I love this - especially, for some reason, the way the bird's legs are positioned.

Adorable. I feel like it could be a little sharper maybe but that does not detract from my vote because overall it's a shot with very pleasing composition and color (not to mention the critterpose!)

Oh, heck yeah, be proud of it. I am so into the "helpful commentary" mode that I didn't emphasize enough that I really really love this shot and I'd be proud of it if I had taken it!! Besides, post processing might be able to help it some, but hey, you have a WONDERFUL shot to begin with, and that is WAY more important than post processing.

I think this is a beautiful shot but it could benefit from some more contrast. The colors seem to fade together and I'm distracted a bit by how bright the whites are. I love the baby's face, so amazingly joyful. I also like how the woman has lowered eyelashes without looking like her eyes are supposed to be closed but are not quite there - I have this problem a lot when I am posing. Although I'd like to see a color version to compare it to, I think that the desaturation works very nicely. Finally I think the woman has a very pretty profile - the eyebrows and ears remind me of a pretty elf.

I love the feel of this except it is just a tad too paintbrushed-feeling for me. But overall I think it is great.
