I like the composition very much. Not sure the selective desat was necessary, but that's your preference. Pity about the (boat?) on the horizon since I feel that it' doesn't add to the composition but distracts from it.

Try using a wide angle lens and lying flat of your stomach to create a more dramatic composition. I find it a little uninteresting and out of focus.

I like the composition and I think the blown out sun is a bit too much. Would've opted for more of a sillouette of the dock and a less exposed sky. I feel if you stopped down a bit and used a smaller aperture you would get a better result and you'd also get a natural starburst effect from the sun making it more interesting in stead of this large white void in the centre. Also could use a little bit of sharpening.

Cool! This is really well done. I would've boosted the contrast a bit and get the blacks blacker because it seems a little flat especially where the water is, but I like the composition.
