Seven.jpgby rjksteschComment: I like it.. her eyes are so sparkling!
the only thing is that her bottom lip looks a little chapped, maybe you could blur them a bit as they look more in focus than the rest of her...
other than that, it's a really cute picture, nice crop (I like the border too) and great candid capture |

Not-So Perfect Matchby BeetleComment: I think your photo turned out pretty good, awesome parody on the original (also, in case no-one said anything, the best way I've found to do selective desat is the sponge tool - you can even set the percentage of desat to do with it and then you use it like a brush... I'm pretty sure you find it where your burn/dodge tool is... or if you want black and white using gradient map, just make a layer with mask to single out the colored part... I always find that it's easier for me to zoom in and use a brush type tool than to try to use a selection tool)
anyway, glad you posted this in that forum... it's the first time I've seen this photo and it made my morning : ) you're lucky to have such a fun husband! |

Fruitcake Hummerby MickComment: wow, you probably could have scored really well in the bokeh challenge with a shot like this... I have to agree with everyone else here in that your colors are superb and the DOF is perfect, I love how you got such sharp detail on the bird and then the foreground and background are blended so well, also, your border even compliments the photo... dreamlike, not to mention his expression looks so majestic.... this one's going into my favs |
