Shadow and Lightby K-RobComment: Very good abstract! It took me a minute to get this photo, but now that I did, I like it more and more. I like the way the diagnals of the lighting and shadows contrast with the upright standing glass. The green of the glass contrasting with the black/white is also nice. Well done. |

Reunion Tower, Dallas Texasby goodtempoComment: This is a great picture, and though I think it says more "building" or "big business" than "glass" it still meets the challenge and I'm going to give it a high mark. I like the muted colors that suggest big business and your "slant" on the building's crop which reminds me of a business report with charts and graphs. Very good interpretation. Also, there is a quality to this photo that I would describe as "smaller than life"...It's as if the different geometric shpaes were block toys that could be rearranged. And even though the sky is uninteresting and too bright, I think it fits into this scheme so well lending to a very cohesive picture. WELL DONE! |

Iris of Glassby dexter2Comment: Very nice abstract, and I like the colors too. I just wish you would have not cut off the glass at the top and bottom and been able to show it in it's entirety. |

Romantic Glassby SKatragaddaComment: You've definitely acheieved a romantic atmosphere here, and the only critique I could make would be to have cropped out a quarter of the bottom of the photo...other than that, very nice. |

Deliveranceby GolferDDSComment: I like this photo very very much and gave it a high mark. This is a great "catch." There's definitely an interesting story here and I feel I would like to get to know more about the pastors and about this chruch and where they are taking the parishoners. The bright lighting outside works with the darkness inside of the church to give it an eerie feel... also makes the lettering stand out on the sign above, which is very important. Photographically, I have a couple of nitpicks...first, I think the photo should have been rotated about 2 degrees left and secondly, the glare in the left most door. Maybe a polarizing filter could have taken care of that This is the first photo I've found on DPC since I"ve joined to really get me excited !. Should be in Life Mag |

Ol' Timerby tcherringComment: Nice sepia tones and I like the composition as well, althought I wish the house weren't so dead center. Nice old time feel to this photo. |

Reef A to Reef Bby elliottwhitleyComment: A more interesting sky would have added alot more pizzazz to this pic. You could have accomplished this with different creative filters, or, since the picture lacks strong color, you could have shot it in B&W and used color filters to create stronger contrast. |

Once it had been usefulby JeanComment: I love simple photos like this where your mind can wonder anyplace it likes. You did a nice job of making this abstract. It took me a second or two for my mind to put it together and realize what it was. An interesting image with nice complentary colors. |

Don't Forget Meby petremiComment: I"m not sure I like the head-on view of this old time carriage, but would have preferred a more oblique angle of view and more of a close up to provide additional detail of the plants in the carriage. Also, I find the blue cast objectionable. |
