I love this shot. those colors are so rich and varied, and of course the peaks are so majestic. all wrapped in a wonderfully crisp and cool atmosphere. I love how the snow covered trees tell you exactly how the conditions were so very different depending on where you stood...up high and it's cold and wet, while down below it's probably rather pleasent.

I don't know what you did to this, but it looks weird...the halos around the trees are much too intense, and there's some brush stroke-like action going on in the sky. I suspect you tried to lighten an otherwise very dark shot, but the PP here ends up being counter-productive.
