Blueberry Splash!

fantastic...I can't complain at all about this.

however, I've got one suggestion that may have made this already stellar shot even better.

adjust the lighting slightly so that the shadow of the blueberry isn't competing with the splash for it's place in the frame. that is to say, the shadow could easily be an element all its own here, but it's partially masked by the splash. I think ideally you could have three independent and equally interesting elements at play.

well, that's certainly interesting...looking forward to seeing how you did this, although I suspect it's a fairly simple technique. good color, nice and sharp, don't like the border at all, but I won't hold that against you :)

I think bumping up contrast here would really help bring out the scale of the scene, and certainly help with what is fairly flat light. having said that, it's still a lovely shot and very interesting.

anyway, this was one of my favorites of the challenge. I think it should have scored at least .5 higher.

this is definitely a top 10 shot, and wouldn't surprise me in the least if you ribbon...perfect lighting, strong, interesting subject, fantastic color...basically, well done all around.
