twins.B&Wby mariucaComment: such an openness and sweep to their postures, makes me wish the left edge of the image wasn't "closed off" by the tree trunk
lovely expressions and I like the direct look at the camera |

triplets.b&w.DSCF1654by mariucaComment: for some reason, I prefer this one to the two instances of "triplets" - the sculpture on the bottom right anchors it somehow and adds a kind of interaction among all the elements that the one without the sculpture doesn't quite have |

arcs, squaresby mitalapoComment: oh goodness, one lean-in would have been great for the composition, but you got two! perfectly timed capture, and composition highlighting the sweep of wall, with the floor crack on the right leading you through the curve to the left. |

#3 - Yellow Bootsby pmichaudComment: a grand straightforward, no nonsense picture - with the assertive lemon color stealing the show |

Crazy Rhythmby GermaineComment: well, that's astounding - really - I like this one better than a lot of "cleaner" astrophotographs I've seen - it demonstrates the true riot that is the night sky, everything flying around at sixes and sevens |

Piece of cakeby hajekaComment: very yummy looking and the red contrasts well with the choice of light background; for this one I feel like deeper DOF would have been preferable, too much of the cake falls out of focus - whatever "too much" means, for some reason the focused/OOF ratio on the cake seems unbalanced to my eyes |

Ice on the Deckby ElaineComment: effective abstraction, and relative lack of focus here adds to the abstracted feel, giving a painterly, brushstroke effect - there's lots here to linger on |
