day 5by superdaveComment: Great movement created by the lines. I do see that the brown stem is in focus, but probably is overshadowed by the lighter parts around it. Perhaps selectively darkening those would improve this lovely composition. |

Waterlilies5.jpgby motherleeComment: The composition is well done. Gives the viewer a sense of the environment these were captured in. The lighting is a bit harsh and some of the details on the pads themselves are lost. Flowers are beautifully focused. |

Day 5 - Wildflowersby PrismComment: It's nice to see the array of flowers in their natural setting. Would be worth going back to capture this when the lighting is better. |

Prairie Flowerby ElaineComment: This looks like prairie coreopsis ( Coreopsis palmata). Would need to see the shape of the leaves and height of the plant to know for sure. Very good lighting here - bright without losing any of the details. I would crop out half of the negative space to put the center of the stem right on the thirds. |

Day 5by BradComment: Lighting really makes the petals look like flames. DOF is spot-on! |

Day Fiveby Bear_MusicComment: Very effective angle at which you shot this. The petals all around are nicely blurred and really draw the eye toward your focal point. Beautiful! |

Impressionist Lilyby banmornComment: This macro does look like a painting. Colors are warm and look like brush strokes. I like. |

sheltered by jmritzComment: I like how the one flower is in focus and a bit brighter than the others. Added bonus: that tiny touch of orange/yellow from the stamens. |
