Day 4 Arctotisby stargazer05766Comment: Good choice to keep the orange flower in the background. I might have cropped the lower portion of the photo just up to the bottom of the flower center. |

Day 4by BradComment: Love the blue glow. The black background was the right choice. |

pop.jpgby ltlmschrisssComment: Those stamens look like straight pins. I certainly do like the tight crop. |

On a Sunny Morning in Julyby ElaineComment: The vertical crop really emphasizes the way these plants reach up to the sky. The blue sky complements the bright yellow petals. |

Rockets' Red Glareby MaryOComment: (I've tried this technique, too, but I'm afraid of getting dust inside the lens.) The lighting and soft focus are nice here. My eye is drawn to the pollen grains on the left. I think a square crop (crop the top part of the photo) would look good. |

Red,White and Blueby banmornComment: Great composition. I especially like the way you have selected a variety of flower shapes. To improve this, I would crop out some of the stems on the bottom and have just a bit more black background on all the other sides. This would put your white flower on the thirds, too |

Day 4 - Floatingby KelliComment: The lighting and rich color tones make this look like a velvet flower. I like the touches of gold on the edges of the petals. |

Floral Day 4by JeniYComment: I like the way you are using this filter without overdoing it. One thing that might improve this particular composition is to remove some of the OOF leaves (mainly on the lower left) to have more negative space in your background. It really seems to work with the water drop shots. |

Hellyan Defense Systemby Art RoflmaoComment: Can't really figure out what this plant is. Looks like the petals are gone and the sepals and pistil are left. Radiating lines in the background create interest. |
