You did ask for comments in the forum, I hope you're ok with a negative one, too.

I am sorry, but I don't like it.

I don't like the color and I don't like the shadows (?) in front of Dad's face.

However, those are minor issues compared to Dad's expression.
To my eyes, he looks uninterested at best - hostile if you ask me.
He seems to say :"Get off me, and let me out of here. Now."

If this is meant as a family portrait, I would like to see him looking happy, or at least "ok" with having Junior on his back.

I do like the way the boy is looking straight into the camera, though.

Such a lovely place. I tried to analyze what exactly it is that I like about this photo.
I think the answer is this: there are very many different textures, but each one is occupying its own spot, rather than competing against the others.
