K I D by Art RoflmaoComment: I lost all of the LONG comment I made on this, but just for you, I'll re-type at least a bit of it:
Ken, I was fairly sure I recognized Riley, but I was not swayed by my secret online-Ken-adoration.
I loved that your submission was totally on-challenge...... something that is important to me on THIS website/forum.
The colours, details, sharpness, etc totally deserve the ribbon you earned.
Give an extra hug to Riley and tell him, that I, too, know he will learn to appreciate his Dad's photographic passion in years to come.
He'll roll his eyes for now, I bet, but give him another 30 years or so, and he'll "get us". |

Birdieby GolferDDSComment: I'm not really in love with your post processing (colours, white balance), but most of all, never, ever post a photo with a crooked horizon. It will cost you points. It is so easy to fix, so fix it before you post.
Some people (I don't, usually) like extreme angles/leans, but yours is simply a tad off........ not a good idea. |

"Move OVER, you Road Hog!"by LydiaComment: You didn't explain, but it sounds like you did NOT photoshop that little piggy into your photo, it just so happened to be there ?????
You realize it is totally stealing the show, right? LOL LOL LOL

Hot Rod Racer by thesixerComment: I don't care at all for the tilt, but the rest of this shot is too nice to penalize you for the weirdo angle. |

"Avoid centering your subject" by Bear_MusicComment: Ugh. This is a beautiful shot full of adorable detail and beauty.
And yet, major shoehorn!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know full well that while you might have broken one rule re centering, you totally adhered to the fact that diagonal lines work way better than horizontals or verticals, and let's not forget the main one: "Fill the frame".
Good thing I didn't vote..... I would have started off very highly for the lovely photo, yet felt compelled to dock you for the shoehorn reasons (see above). |
