the Cathedral of Christ the Lightby BrennanOBComment: A bit oversharpened as there are some artifacts particularly in the sky. That being said you shot this at the perfect time of night. The reflection is great. I just wish you were back a bit to give more room in the sky above the structure and the reflected sky. |

Serenityby drew_makeanimpactComment: More a shot showing religion rather than a church shot. That being said, this is a great shot of religion. |

Country Churchby dswannComment: I'm wondering what this would look like from a different angle. This composition really focuses in on the door rather than the overall structure. |

Come Inby tooterComment: it would have been nice to see the whole church. I'd be curious to see a shot with the whole building to help understand your choice of framing/crop. |

Delicate Petalsby missinseattleComment: Not sure why it scored so low however one thing to note. Make sure you go to the full size allowed. There's no reason to submit an undersized image. Bigger images usually look better and have more impact. Let us know what program you are using and maybe we can find some help on resizing and prepping your image for submission. |

Intricacyby sekarmalathyComment: an unusual angle however it feels like things are cut off that need to be either completely out of the scene or completely in. (e.g. the statue) |

head and heartby posthumousComment: aaah...there is. I've looked at this image 4 or 5 times because I knew there was something I should be seeing. I've never tried a shot like this but the general rule of thumb is to have the person in front of the camera for half the exposure. (i.e if its a 4 second exposure the person needs to be in the scene for 2 seconds). tough to manage on a self-portrait but I think you weren't in the scene long enough and as such the image of you in the scene is very faint. |
