Fisheye Foliageby jim29028Comment: Cool idea - for me, the boots and foliage are a little too far away - might be worth retaking with the camera held closer to knee level. |

treeby LydiaComment: An interesting, graphical take on the subject. I like the way that you have separated the tree form its environment, focussing on shape and form. I rather wish that there was less detail in the grass. |

The Leaf Eaterby vawendyComment: HA, very cute. Unlike some other photos in the challenge, this very well photographed capybara (?) is completely relevant, with its interaction with the foliage. Super work. 8. |

Changing Seasons by TDCollinsComment: Oh my goodness, this is just lovely. A beautiful composition (although the railway line does draw my eye out of the frame, so docking a point), lovely tonal range, delicately processed. 8 |

IIIIIllllIIIIIlllIIIIby RKTComment: Super capture of a heron, but the foliage in the foreground (identified by your title) seems completely incidental to the photo. |

Quebec by LanndonKaneComment: Gorgeous rays, I particularly like the way they light up the grasses. I am not so keen on the trees in the background - they seem to have been processed separately to the main image, with a confusing patch of mist and some disconnected grass heads - something just seems 'off' a tad. |

Hibiscus with foliageby FlexPixComment: An interesting flower and you have captured the striations and ruffles. The foliage is very much incidental to the flowe, and as such the photo is at a distinct disadvantage in this challenge. I would urge you to explore different framings - get down low, level with the flower, shoot upwards, across, try with more of the environment included in the frame. |

OCTfik2_R000013by tnunComment: Sums up today perfectly! A 'found' image - a record shot - that perfectly illustrates the dismal, wet autumn day and suggests the miserable dark days of winter that will follow. (It's absolutely p***ing it down here...) |

Zelly and Samby tnunComment: Technically unconventional (horrible was the first word I used, but I donĂ¢€™t think my tone using it translated well to the written space), compositionally a tad 'off' for this viewer, and yet it totally captures the bond between dog and owner. I do though have a couple of issues with it that prevent, for me, it moving into the artlessly charming, high scoring area. The most glaring is the encroachment of a hand to the left of the frame - once spotted, this totally changed the way I viewed the photo. Strange how a tiny thing like that can matter so much. |
