Pets certainly have to put up with a fair amount of lugging around when they cohabit with small children. Mine survived it fine! A nice study, but not perhaps, a pet portrait.

Excellent technicals, and a pleasing portrait, ut it is verging on the twee. On balance I would probably prefer a pose that engaged more with the viewer - but then, that wouldn't be your photo! 7 for the sheer prettiness and post-processing.

What a stunning photo! But, for me it a landscape that definitely benefits from having a dog in it, rather than portrait of a dog which benefits from being set within a landscape... Nonetheless, I can't give less than 7, but in a FS it would be a 9.

LOL, what a character ( I suspect the owner as well as the dog, too!) An amusing, pleasing portrait.

Comment:
Taken in bright sunlight, which is always going to make life difficult for a photographer, and this is a bit too contrasty. Unfortunately you also have some post-processing artefacts visible, particularly to the right side of Ayla's face that do detract from the image. You got down nice and low, though which makes for an intimate portrait.

Oh Roz, this is possibly my favourite ever photo of Mr Tod. this is just absolutely delightful - spot on with the technicals, of course, but captured with such love and such bagfulls of character. Rare I give a 10 on first pass, but there isn't any other score I could give!

What a handsome dog. I like the wistful look you have captured - I would guess he is gazing longingly at a treat held just above the photographer? A bit of a shame you have lost so much of the detail in the shadow areas - possibly deliberately designed to hide some clutter.

Just losing a bit of detail in the shadows, but otherwise a pleasing portrait in a good natural environment - but I would try and lose that vertical stick to the right of the frame.
