Black and Whiteby NikonJebComment: Great shot, great clarity, focus, lighting! And, I get where you're going with the title "black and white", but.........why not just turn it Black and White to meet the challenge criteria????? |

what you see is what you getby honikumComment: Lovely shot! Why not turn it black and white rather than the brown tinge??? Would have been really dynamic fully in black and white! |

Midwestern Girlby bbmohrComment: Very nice angle and expression. Just wondering if perhaps, the focus is just a BIT too soft??? I'd have liked to have seen it just a bit crisper. |

31by redmoonComment: Nice gaze, but the background kinda takes away focus on the face and the soft focus everywhere but his nose kind of brings attention only to his nose area. Wondering if perhaps, you were a little too close to his face while shooting and perhaps, that's what kind of gives this "fish bowl" look to his face???? (sorry, no offense meant in that term. Just no better way to describe it.) I've done that and it's hard to get a correct distance and still maintain a good shot and clarity. Still working on that myself! |

Claireby rapidComment: REally NICE shot, but the details have been washed out. I'm betting that was done to lighten the background up more???? |

Don't Touch My Ying Yangby nroscoeComment: Wow, this shot has a lot of depth to it on several fronts. I'm just wondering if perhaps a bit of lightening and contrast adjusting might have brought this out a bit more. The expression is one that's "harsh" looking, so lighting being a bit harsher might have brought that out a bit more???? |

Why Do I Keep Counting?by jallasComment: Interesting take on the idea of "portrait". I'm not sure on how to judge this one because it's not a typical portrait type shot. But, I'm sure that was the statement you were trying to make, wasn't it? |

Rogueby briandsdComment: Awwww......I want to pat this furry baby! I love cats. I'm wondering if perhaps, a bit more sharpening by contrast and brightness may have better served rather than the more "soft focus"??? |
