As peaceful as a lambby CrazyDiamondComment: If the numbers are correct, the high iso and the very small aperture may have contributed much toward the softness of this one, which was mentioned by both you and one commenter. Light coming through a tiny aperture becomes diffused as the aperture begins working somewhat like a pinhole lens as it becomes smaller and smaller. It's just physics. The best sharpness is between f5.6 and f11 for most lenses.
I also see the disruption of the diagonal shadow across the subject. With sleeping animals though, you can't just rearrange things without losing the subject.
You have a very good looking friend here, and I can see in your portfolio that he means a lot to you. |

as cold as steel by tangueraComment: Yay! Got to love it when a photo like this can ribbon in a challenge without having to think long and hard about shooting it for the challenge. You're just good! Congrats! |

The heart is a bloomby jomariComment: Marvelous delicate texture makes this sweet to see. The flashlight lens thing is great for this. No 1' s 2's or 3's on this one either. That's as it should be.
I also like U2. |

Tanya Truckby ttroutman71Comment: This is excellent for an "out of the camera" shot. The dark truck stands out against the light grass and the BG. The great detail in the grass is very nice in this too. |

SolFilterSetup_P6050002by GeneralEComment: This is my kind of bubbaneering! It's a setup that worked nicely too. I'm curious to know if you cut out the CD to the size of the aux lens? The blue bubble gum and pink paper clips, that's way cool. Color coordinated too LOL. |

Into the Belly of the Beast by vawendyComment: Congrats for the red on a marvelous "out of the box" for your normal style of shooting image. You had a great time that you and your daughter can remember all your lives.
The last sentence in your description comments is true for me as well. Well said.
Thank you for your comment on the Bug Screen shot. |

arcadianby Ecce_SignumComment: The LB was a great choice for this scene. The dreamy edge brings you right to the subject, and the colt with the spraddled legs gets a grin.
Shooting with unusual or home-brew lenses holds a certain fascination for me. |

Peepersby MelethiaComment: Sweet shot of this 63 Chevy. I like the color and solid lines of the car, and the chrome in this one.
I had one of these with the 425HP 409 in it back when gas was about .30 a gallon.
Thanks for the reminder of the "good ol' days". |

Flatlinersby mrbig65Comment: What a pretty image. I see we both finished 18th in this challenge, and each with a "fav". |
