Ostseebad Sellinby GuGiComment: Great photo. Not sure about the placement of the text, though...seems kind of awkward (not marking down). |

Mooooooooby jenesisComment: Love the toning on this one. Why are there littles? Shouldn't they be bigger by now? They will freeze in the winter! |

Old Friendby carlosmComment: Hi Carlos,
Welcome back to DPC. A few comments on your entry since you asked:
- It's extremely difficult to score well with pet shots. There's a few reasons for this. 1) Your pet is rarely as cute to others as it is to you (same with kids). 2) They are frequently entered. 3) They are often seen as sort of the lazy man's entry...look around and photograph the first thing you see which is often the pet sitting at your side. For these reasons, you need to have a really stellar pet shot in order to have any sort of success.
As for your particular photo, it seems to have some technical flaws. The focus isn't very sharp and you've blown out some areas on the right side of her face and in the background. You're lacking a bit of depth in your B/W. The eyes look a little ghostly...I'm not sure if that's how her eyes actually look or if the reflection is actually visible in the entirety of her eye? It makes her look slightly disconcerting, although a small catchlight is generally a good idea.
I hope you find this helpful. Good luck on your next challenge! |

Vasco da Gama Bridgeby De SousaComment: Beautiful photo! I think I *might* prefer it without the bench but I love the vantage point you've got so maybe it's worth keeping the bench. |

Texasby JutildaComment: Very cute. :) Could stand a little bolder text so that it was easier to read in the grass but the photo itself is great. |
