Everything is good. the light, the comp, the colours. The thing that strikes me is the oversmoothing of her skin and the whites of her eyes maybe too white? I am sure it will be near the top.

That is awfully bright! I find 2 things with this picture. Knowing the DPC crowd, they will find it uninteresting and the focus issue will work against you.

I would suggest using that macro option on your lens and find something that this crowd likes.

If you want to score higher and don't care about substance, then pick something that is proven, 2 wine glasses with one colour of liquid in each. You ,ust find a unique way to shoot them, ie falling over or liquids colliding in mid air etc,
Or

Flowers on a very shallow DOF . Place a flower on the rule of thirds rule, with a plain green background far in the distance to blur it completely.

These are suggestions , you must use your creativity to hold the viewer when they are looking at your pic. This does not mean to clutter your frame, make it simple and vibrant with a beautiful object.

Leo

I just found it funny that you managed to win with that exact concept. Nice One!

I always wonder how one gets these images so sharp. I never seem to be able to capture a moving object correctly. You have mastered it here. Congrats on the blue!
