HA! Kids are watching Toy Story right now! The only nitpick is the first pic is a little darker than the rest.IMO it would be better if it were like the other 2 shots.

Good Idea. The execution is off the mark. It looks like you used just one light, this light would have been better utilized by positioning it from above and pointing down on your model. According to your shadows you had the light low and pointed up.
