Dorothy's Goldby MPRPROComment: Wow, interesting pose. Great model.
I like the small shadow on the left as it gives the image some depth. -BB |

Spiralby outafocusComment: This is a great idea! Is your light one of those little led flashlights? I also like the fact that your spirals are a uniform size. Very nice. -BB |

UFO?by outafocusComment: I like this series of "playing with lights". You'll have to post some more shots if ever you get around to them.
This one feels a little "outta focus", pun intended from your username! I like your "Swirl" shot a little better. I explained some there. -BB |

shooting light haloby outafocusComment: The only problem that I have with this shot are the distractions of the shelves and the stuff on them.
Your tailgate extender ( see following image) even makes a nice arc over her head!
The squiggly lights are interesting, I'm not sure how you're setup worked but it's a fun looking picture. -BB |

swirlby outafocusComment: I really like this photo!
I even like it better than the one titled "UFO?" because you have allowed the background (the wall) to get some light. It gives my eyes some room to move about the image. They're drawn to the main light in the center then to the reflection in the mirror. Lastly they can sweep the image to take in the full photo (mirror, frame, wall, etc). Excellent shot -BB |

Purple Flowerby outafocusComment: Perhaps maybe a square crop with this image might have helped it. It's cropped nicely at the top and bottom but the sides have plenty of space.
I like the purple color but this feels like all of the green was desaturated from the photo. I think a having green in the leaves could accent the purple some and give it a more " pop". Just my opinion -BB |

Im not buying it!!by outafocusComment: You have a fairly dark shadow under her chin. That tells me that she really was as close to the camera as what it feels like. If she could've been just back into the room a couple of steps you would've lost a lot of the shadow.
Something that could throw a little pizazz into the image would've been to give it the "rule of the thirds". It's not totally neccessary but an idea to consider for the next shot.
Another thing, and this is probably just be me but I wish the top of her head wasn't cropped. I don't have any good examples really so maybe it's just the way this photo grabs me. -BB
PS. By the thumbnail view it looks like she has a really black eye! |

cat in the basketby outafocusComment: This is a huge cat! With the crop being so tight around the basket the photo almost feels too much like "in your face". I would maybe like to see a little more space around the cat (kind of give it room to move within the frame) if you know what I mean.
If you're going for "fill the frame" then I would've tried to position the camera more at a perpendicular angle with the basket and then cropped right at it. -BB |
