That was my sentiment and I did give it a 6. I thought about changing my vote on this one more than once, but ultimately left it at 6 for the reasons stated by H2. Everything about the portrait is technically very good. Both the subject and the expression were just boring.

If there had been any quirkiness, grit, laughter, unusual pose, I would have likely scored it higher.

I expected to see more one light portraits for this challenge. And this one's pretty good, but I would have preferred if the light fall off had captured part even if a small part of the dark side of the subject's face.
