The Game of Lifeby Marc923Comment: My first question would be what you expected for a score with this shot. Technically, there is nothing glaringly wrong with the shot. So I doubt you will get lots of comments giving you technical changes. I did not vote in this challenge but would have given this a 5 or a 4 if I would have voted. The reasoning for me is fairly simple. The shot is a snapshot. What draws my eye to this photo? What makes it stand out? What makes it dramatic? My answer is nothing. That doesn't mean it is a bad shot. I already stated technically the photo is very good. I think you did exactly what you wanted with the photo. That being said there is no story, no drama, and nothing that would make me remember the photo. Since you mentioned other game photos take a look at the monopoly one for contrast. Utilization of DOF, and toning make that a very dramatic and eye catching photo and that makes all the difference. Don't get discouraged the shot is very well done it just didn't have that pop and wow factor to score well. |

Sunshine on a Cloudy Dayby scooter97Comment: Gorgeous! Great shot and I love the crop you have used here. It doesn't clutter the shot with any element that could be distracting. The off center compostion also adds tremendously as well. Great job on my first page. |

---Oversaturated--- by njsabsComment: This is a fantastic illustration of how a large amount of pp can be amazing. I doubt many would think this is straight from the camera, and their are times when I like that look. This however utilizes pp to its best. Wonderfully done and on my first page. |

Forest Floorby scooter88Comment: I feel awful because I have this feeling that my vote and voice will be in the minority on this one. I think it is brilliant. The lighting gives this an amazing feeling of texture. The framing is wonderful and I have nothing to give for improvement. This is what I call fine art. Very very well done! On my first page. |

irisby xtianComment: This is fanfreakingtastic. This is an excellent shot made even better by excellent pp. Great job with the eyes and bringing back the detail in just the right spots. Only area that I notice is the right ear (pictures left) probably could have had some more detail brought back as it is tell tale blur added. The hair right there could have been brought back a little more as well. That being said that is nitpicky supreme. Especially since you are getting a 10 from me. Makes my top 3 easy. If this isn't first page I will be extremely disappointed. |

Lizzieby SchmeldontinoComment: Great shot. The unusual perspective is eye-catching and I really like the framing. Only thing that distracts a little is her left arm. Great job to take what can be an ordinary shot and give it pop. |

Limpby RKTComment: This is fantastic! I love everything about it. I would love to see it on the first page. I hope others recognize just how good this is as well. Great technicals, but the saturation and toning take this to another level. Great job. |
