Personally, I think this one was under rated and should have done better in the challenge. Even though I didnt care for the "high key". ;) I am shocked that it didnt place higher than some other photos.

technically, i like the photo. I am really torn on this one though, because when I vote for challenges, I really take into HIGH consideration the Title of the challenge (which everyone should) and in this case the title is "Evening".
I think it's a great image. I think it will do well in the challenge. Its nice to see something besides lakes and sunsets (no offense to those who submitted those)

I think its a good shot. It is blown out way too much on the left though. But that's not why I am giving a low score. When I vote on challenges, I really take the Subject of the challenge into high consideration, as everyone should.
The challenge was "Evening" and I don't find anything about this shot to be categorized in "evening".
Even the title of the shot leads as far away to the challenge as the image itself.
I think it would have been better for you to submit this image for a different challenge and also work on the levels and curves if you do.
I am curious to hear why you submitted this particular shot for a "Evening Challenge"

would have benefited with a curve/level adjustment. The white balance is off in my opinion. Too blue. This sort of has just a snap shot feel to it. sorry. best of luck to you though.

Like I tell everyone else. when I vote on a challenge, the challenge Title means everything. The title was "Evening" and nothing about this shot gives me the feeling of evening.
On the technical side. It looks like an on camera flash was used and it washed out a good bit of detail in my opinion. My overall vote was because of the lack of subject for the challenge title. sorry.

i have seen this pose in almost every photo like this and I am a little tired of it. it seems so contrived. the people look restrained. its not a bad shot. there is just nothing appealing about it. sorry. best of luck though.

funny shot. I personally dont think it will rate very high though. it has more of a snap shot feel than anything. at least it has the element of "evening" to it unlike so many that have been submitted.
