If this is a floral pattern, I would love to find out which one. Very impressive macro. The only reasons I am deducting marks here are because:

- without reading the title, one cant deduce the maning of the picture. The abstraction is weak.

- the composition is straightforward.. no visual tricks to lead you to the subject. It could have been more interesting.

fluid structure

This is a great picture.. dont get me wrong. It just lacks originality for me. I am tired of seeing close ups of fluids mixing and dropping. I chopped off marks for these reasons:


- lack of abstraction. What are you abstracting here (taking away form the picture in terms of struture)? I can easily see it is a kind of fluid... in action.

- tecnically, the image looks noisy. I dont know if this is due to post processing, or poor lighting or sensor.

- droplets again! Lack of originality.

I am still rating this one above average because of the composition.

The only reason I chopped off a high score for this picture is because I can identify the subjects in the image... not enough abstraction here. Still, it powerfully depicts the title. Another thing that could be better is the lighting.. the texture on the surfaces dont come up as powerfully as they could. Rated above average for this one.. closer to a high score.

Oh what strong abstraction! There is no way the subject is recognized here.. yet such powerful form depiction! If I would look for two improvements here, it would be better contrast somehow, and a slightly off center composition. At present, the visual is right there.. in the center. There is no attention seeking or guiding patterns.

Good job, can do better.. I am rating it close to a high score.

Not abstract enough for me, sorry. When I look for abstraction, I look for a visual that takes my attention away from a recognizable subject.. one that stresses on form more than identity. The image conveys the title nicely, still missing the winner streak. I would rate it higher than average, closer to a high score, but can do better.

And this question adds to the strength to the image. Perhaps I wouldnt evenr want to know what it is as it might spoil the mystery. Perhaps moving the pattern a tad more off the center would create a more powerful visual.

Honestly, it is hard to relate the image to the title (indication). Still, the image has a strange glamor to it that draws attention to the two main areas. It is almost a hybrid between a metallic abstract and a dull mundane B/W close up. The moisture pattern is the strength of this image I think. The slightly out of focus (mesh?) pattern enhances the composition, but diminishes the abstraction. Perhaps the image would have been more powerful with the main pattern slightly off the center. Good job anyways, I am rating it close to a high score.

I can kind of see it is a reflection image...one that draws definite attention. The composition could have had a little more dramatic angle I feel. The white is almost balanced in the image which sort of take attention away from the center. I would still rate it pretty high because it does justice with the theme.. albeit it will be controversially abstract for some. Good job, could be better.
