I don't understand the title as it relates to the picture. If the picture had people then I could see the word use of Blood Donors but in this picture we see donations so how about "Blood Donations Avert Crisis" I like the picture but maybe a tighter crop on the top of the photo.

The headline would be more effective if it identified and actual crisis. A more effective supporting photo for a story like this would include a human element. Show the people getting out there in donating blood rather then a shot of blood and medical equipment which makes for very dull subject matter, particularly in black and white.

Great shot, I like the tones that you achieved here. I keep being drawn to the corner of the scale near the top left, I may have cropped right at that point to remove the distraction. Very good.
