Pimlicoby BAMartinComment by ClubJuggle: It's amazing how two shots can be so similar and yet so different. The composition on this shot is absolutely flawless. You do an outstanding job of bringing a large number of elements together and combining them into a scene. Even the rails and fences, which can easily be a distraction if not dealt with properly, manage to lead the eye back into the main subject. This is the kind of detail I often miss. Also, your shot conveys competition much more than mine does. The only thing I might have done differently would have been to step the aperture up just a little bit to tighten the focus and soften the background. The extra light also would have helped separate the horses from each other. Overall, this is a top-quality shot, and one of my three 10's for the week. |
